Elected an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, ARAM, having achieved success in the music profession.

1999
Second prize in the Guitar Foundation of America, Charleston, U.S.A.

1998 
Third prize in the Alessandria International Guitar Competition, Italy.

1997-99
Live Music Now! with flautist Gary Arbuthnot.  Music scheme set up by Lord Menhuin to promote music in the community throughout the British Isles and other parts of Europe.

1996-98 
The Countess of Munster recital award.  This was both as a soloist and as a duo with flautist Gary Arbuthnot.

1996 
Winner of the South East Arts Young Musicians' Platform which included his Wigmore Hall debut solo recital.

1994
Awards given by the Countess of Munster, Royal Academy of Music and Allcard Grants to study privately with David Russell in Vigo, Spain.
 
First prize in the Scandinavian International Guitar Competition, Tamisaari, Finland.

First prize in the Radio 2 Young Musician Competition.
